Solving playback issues

This is a new problem as of ~ first week of April 2021.  Entire system worked fine for years prior, no hardware changes, no software updates on the TV, so must be a ROKU issue.

TV powers on randomly after shut down, goes immediately to ROKU home screen. Unplugging power to ROKU allows the TV shut off (and stay shut off). Clearly a ROKU software issue.

FWIW, its an older, 1080p 75" sony, with the (**bleep**) android TVOS... which is why I use Roku... Please fix!

Hi so the issue with my roku tv is that it keeps powering ON itself usually early morning 2am-6am I would wake up in the morning and my tv is ON. I would come home from work in the afternoon time and it's ON! This issue just started occurring I'm thinking it's an software upgrade Issue??? Because I have a smart T.V??? Please FIX!

Thanks for the post.

We would be happy to look further into this issue for you. Can you provide us with more information? Are there any devices connected to your Roku TV?

In addition, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku TV brand and model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate team to investigate further.
