No matter what I do I can’t get the PBS app to open. I’ve tried this on all my Roku devices and it’s the same. I’ve tried deleting the app and restarting but when I try opening the app it just goes back to the Roku Home Screen. All other apps work fine - and I’ve never had this problem with pbs before
Hi Community users,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Please be aware that we have passed along your information to the appropriate Roku team for further investigation.
To those users that haven't given their information yet, can you please provide the following details below?
Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developers themselves. In this case, there's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them. We advised you to contact the channel partner while we're still investigating this problem.
Your patience and understanding are much appreciated.
Thanks,
John
Same here!!! What the heck?! Fine on phone and laptop. Just my 2 Roku devices, and I have LG TVs and they don't support PBS app which is why I have the d__n Roku!
model 3810X Roku streaming stick
Serial number YH00EM219434
Software version 14.0
Device ID C1395E219434
Issue ID 34-463-836
I have another device on another level of home.
I've rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the app
ALSO---i cannot cast PBS from my phone to the TV either!
I have the same problem and the fix did not correct it.
The PBS kids plays without issues The Odysee and PBS fail to play properly.. What is the issue?
Same problem and the fix did not work.
Same here. All the other apps I tested are working fine.
Yes, it works on my iPad, but not Roku.
I hope somebody is able to get through to PBS app tech support. Maybe they will push through an update tomorrow or within a few days. But yeah, the PBS Roku app is not working for me either.
and i watched it last night..
regardless, this information gives us no indication as to whose issue it is or what might be causing it.
it could be an issue with roku, but it could just as well be an issue with pbs and since everything else currently seems to be working on roku, im almost more inclined to think its an issue with pbs (especially since you can remove the app and reinstall it, but then it doesnt even let you get back to the login screen).
either way, getting all bent out of shape about it doesnt do anybody any good and we all know nobody is getting any refunds from either company behind this matter.
all we can do is be patient and be thankful forums like this exist so we can see that other people are currently experiencing the same problem and we dont tear our home networks apart thinking we are the only one with the problem.
take it easy
