I love my Roku and have been using it for years but one thing bothers me, I frequently lose sound when I'm using it. It often happens at the start of streaming something new, a new episode queues up, or in services where you can skip introductions at the point of either the intro or the episode starting. Pretty much when some sort of stream changes.
I can't remember the exact model but my Roku is an HDMI dongle plugged directly into the TV with a USB extension cord for external power.
The easy fix for this problem is that I just change the TV input from the Roku's HDMI port to a different port then change it back, sometimes restarting the show will fix it too. It is just annoying with how often this happens and I'd like to find a way to fix it so I don't have to keep the TV's remote nearby to swap the input when the volume goes out again. Any ideas?
