I have 2 Roku Express devices in my house. One in the living room and the other is in the Master Bedroom. The device in the Master Bedroom has stopped streaming all streaming services out of no where. It will connect to the internet just fine and says it has a excellent connection. It will load up apps just fine but when I try to play anything, it gives me a playback error. I’ve tried my second Roku Express in the same Master Bedroom and it did the same thing but both devices play just fine in the living room. Can anyone help me solve my problem? Please and thank you!
Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing.
If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Furthermore, please be advised that Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
Let us know if this works for you!
All the best,
Kariza
