Roku Express Will Not Let Me Media Share

I use a Roku Express and one of the features I've used with the Roku remote app is the media share/casting functionality, which can be used by going to Devices in the lower-right of the app, selecting Media on my selected Roku device, and streaming Music, Pictures or Video to my device over Wi-Fi using the app. This has been very useful in the past for watching videos and looking at pictures from my phone on a larger screen.

 

Recently, however, the functionality with this feature has stopped, and selecting any kind of media results in a black screen on my phone without any of the media I selected appearing on my Roku device. I don't know why this isn't working anymore. Can I get any assistance to try and fix this?

Thanks for the post.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

Once we have this information we will be able to investigate further.
