Starting today, 10/13/21, when watching live tv, a press of the purple down arrow button results in the app shutting down and a return to the home screen. This is the action that normally allows you to choose the Guide, Watch Now, and My Library. All other arrows, left, right, and up function normally.
I have a Roku Ultra, 3 new Express 4k's, and two Roku TV's. All devices now do this.
Anyone else???
This issue appears to have been resolved. Tested on several different ROKU devices...................................................................................
I just started having an issue today. Directtv streaming comes up but when I try to go to guide or my library the device goes back to the main page where you select services/apps/what application to use to view program.
Problem started today. After opening DirecTV stream, when I try to go to the guide (down arrow purple button), it boots out and goes back to the Roku home page. I have updated all apps, and rebooted all appropriate items.
I saw another person state the same problem (starting today) in a reply to an old post for a different problem. It needs to be its own question.
Thanks for any help.
This is happening to me too. Whenever I click the down arrow to bring up the DStream menu, I get kicked back to the Roku home screen. Was there a recent firmware update?
I don't know. I did have the app check for updates and it didn't take but a couple of seconds, so I don't think there were any updates out there waiting.
I am having the same issue just started today 10/13. When I press the down arrow the tv goes back to my Home Screen. I can’t even change the channel.
Yes. Having the same problem across different ROKU devices. Started just a few hours ago 10 am CST on 10/13/21. Does not occur on Apple TV streaming device.
When problems are confined to a particular channel, it may be that the channel did not install correctly, has received a faulty update, or has subsequently gotten corrupted. A reinstall of the channel to get its latest version may fix the problem, so give it a try. Remove/reinstall procedure:
If the problem persists at this point, it typically means the current version of the channel app has a problem that must be addressed by the channel itself as they are the ones that create the Roku-compatible version of their app and provide it to Roku.
I am also experiencing this issue. I have restarted the device twice, unplugged all cables for 60+ seconds, removed remote baateries, tried using Roku remote from mobile app, all with the same result. After I press the down button to access the guide and library, it appears to be loading, then kicks me back to the home screen.
*CORRECTION: It just started working out of the blue. Not sure why, but hopefully it'll keep working.

Weird -- Just tried mine again and it is now working properly, too.
