Roku device use to stay on all the time but now it shuts off on its own at night. I disconnect the power cord and plug it in to start the device again. Then it's on until the next morning. What can I do to keep it turned on all the time?
Thanks for the follow up. I'm sorry to hear about the experience—that's not what we aim for.
I have passed along your concerns to our Support team to assist you further.
Thanks,

The Roku team contacted me by email, suggested I disable screensaver and that resolved the problem. Thanks for your help.
All Roku devices are on all the time; only TVs can be turned off. If you push a button on the remote it doesn't respond?
Mine doesn't stay on all the time. It turns off at night and I have to turn it on by disconnecting and connecting the power cord. This device is a couple of years old and this just started a few days ago.
Hey @jlima1
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!
When you say that your Roku shuts off on its own at night, is it during content streaming for four hours where no commands are given by your Roku remote or the mobile app? Please walk us through the exact issue you're experiencing. We'd like to know more about how we can help.
All the best,

Basically my Roku does not stay on unless it's streaming. A typical day starts with Roku off, although I was using it, streaming, the night before. To turn it on I disconnect and connect the power cord. If I do not start streaming it will turn off in a few minutes. If I start streaming it stays on until a few minutes after streaming. It never turn off while I'm streaming. At night, say I'm streaming for a few hours before going to bed. It works fine during streaming. Then I stop streaming and go to bed. In the morning when I get back it has turned off. This started about a week or two ago. Before that it stayed on constantly Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the response @jlima1
Is your Roku device powered through the USB port on your television? If yes, the device will indeed automatically power off when you turn off the television. Using the included power cord and power adapter, we recommend plugging your Roku into a working power outlet in the wall.
Let us know if there's any difference after.
All the best,

The Roku is plugged into a working power outlet. It is not powered by the television through a USB and never has been. This is a new issue. It has worked fine for at least a year. This power off problem started a couple of weeks ago.
