Solving playback issues

I was watching a show streaming on amazon, when my 4400 rebooted.  However it will not continue past the animated ROKU logo and continue on to load my home page.  Has worked flawlessly up until now.

I unplugged and restarted all relevant devices with same result, only shows the logo screen.

Anyone have the solution to completing my connection to my home screen?

Does the screen just go blank, does it stay on the animated Roku letters start up screen, or something else?

Sounds simplistic, but users have reported it just resolves itself sometimes.  Leave it unplugged for some time. (some people 10min, others overnight)   See if that helps.  Seems to fix more than a few problems people have with their devices. Otherwise, the dreaded factory reset.  

@makaiguy reported in another post that a corrupted SD card could also cause this. Fix for some was to remove the card and then attempt to boot as normal.
