Roku 3 home screen covered by Roku Ad

For the last 2 weeks Roku ads (one for new Roku which ended and now for College Basketball Zone) cover the home screen so i can't see the channels or anything (search, settings, etc.).  The remote will select whatever the cursor happens to be on but I can't see where it is nor what it's selecting till I hit OK.  

How do I turn this mess off get back to a normal home screen?

That's definitely nor normal.

Have you rebooted the Roku?

Thanks for replying.  I've been messing around with this for a couple of weeks.  

Reboot will restore home screen but only for 1 session.  Then it's back to covered by the latest Roku Ad.  Once there, it requires a reboot to get out again.

Friday night I rebooted and in Settings > Home Screen>   I hid "Featured Free", "Movie Store" and "My Offers".  I've had 2 days so far of normal home screen after that.

Oh I have a Roku3 - Model 4200x with SW version 9.4 Build 4200-04.
