Sure, we get that now...after we wasted a bunch of time dealing with something that should have been a non-issue. What is Roku doing to mitigate this type of "failure to communicate" to the Roku servers moving forward?

The devices could (securely) cache critical data and if the servers can't be reached just use the cached data. As a minimum, the devices should output a message like "Roku Servers are unable to be contacted even though your internet connection is working, please be patient while we retry"...locking up the UI or constantly rebooting the device is not a very graceful way to deal with this and caused a great deal of confusion.

Just realize that I have 5 Roku devices including a TV (that would not even power on to watch local OTA channels)...so understand our frustration.
