Diagnostics show wifi and internet connections are good. It endlessly reboots when I choose any channel. I've unplugged it a couple times but no change. Is there a fix? Should I buy a newer Roku? My TV is pretty old also.
There are five different versions of the Roku 2. Depending on the model number, it might be so old it's no longer supported. But even the newest version (model 4210) is almost 6 years old. It's possible that it's developed a fault, which means it's time to replace it.
If it's truly completely unusable, then you might try a factory reset. Don't do that if you have Spectrum Cable channel installed, as you won't be able to add it back after a reset.
The factory reset seems to have fixed it! Thanks. If if stops working again, I'll get a new Roku.

Thanks. I'll see if there are any other suggestions, but assume I need to buy a new one. Then my question will be which one, since my old TV probably wants something simple.
If your older TV doesn't have HDMI inputs, then you can't buy a streaming for it any longer. Neither Roku nor Fire TV have players with analog outputs. There might be some generic Android devices online somewhere.
If you do have HDMI inputs, I recommend at least the Premiere. There's enough complaints about the Express and wireless connections I can't recommend it.
I do have a HDMI input that is currently used by my Roku2. Good to know about the Express. Thanks.
