Roku 2 4210X: booted back to Home page accessing Prime Video programming.

This just started within the last 3-4 days.

Prime Video will load and take me to my Main screen. I can navigate to my programs and current episode. When I hit the "Play" or "Resume" button, I get a few seconds of the chasing snake and then get booted back to the "Home" page.

My device: "Roku 2" model 4210X OS ver 10.5.0 / bld 4208-04

I have checked for updates both for the device and Prime. I have reset the device multiple times. I have removed and reinstalled Prime from the device. I have installed a micro SD card. The only thing I have not done is a factory reset.

I have two other Roku's: a 3700 "Roku Express" and a 3800 "Streaming Stick". I have *no* issues with watching Prime Video programming on either of these devices. Both are running OS 10.5 / 4208-04.

What has happened? Are you still supporting the 4210? The device was working perfectly up until a few days ago. This isn't an Amazon issue; if it were then I would have problems on the other two Roku's as well.

Thanks for your time and attention in this matter.

Re: Roku 2 4210X: booted back to Home page accessing Prime Video programming.

Hello,

Yes, the following is a link to a like issue and shows what I did to bring back my Roku 4210X. Thus far, since the date of the linked post, I've had one glitch that came up.

Link: https://community.roku.com/t5/Channel-Issues-Questions/10-5-update-kills-prime-and-Disney-Plus/m-p/7...

The only glitch I've gotten since doing the above was a total lock up of the unit. It happened after watching about an hours worth of Prime programming. I had gone back to the Prime main program menu, leaving it "parked" there while I left the room for about 5 -10 minutes. When I returned, the "Roku" logo was on the screen and it was playing its little ditty like it does when it's waiting for something to happen ...like a download. This was not the normal Roku screen saver that pops up. Nothing I did would bring me back to the Prime main program menu; it was locked on this "Roku" screen. I left it that way for over and hour, no change. Finally I did a hard reset on it using the rest feature on the back of the unit. It came back an all has been fine since.
