Hello,
I have a ROKU streaming stick connected to a Samsung LN46A650. I did not have issues with this TV with a previous Roku. But this one will lock up the TV and I have to pull the power to reset the TV. It seems to happen after the Roku is idle for a period, but I am not positive of this.
I am a technical person and never post to forums but I am at my wits end with this thing. I have adjusted HDMI control settings, plugged it in to soundbar and directly to TV and the same effect. It seems to me that I first noticed this in February. Was there an update?
Should I just go back to the older slower Roku?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
No, I don't think there's been an update since then. You might try turning off the screensaver in the Roku. Go into the Settings/Theme/Screensaver wait time and disable it. I've never seen that happen before with several different Samsung TVs, but they were all newer than yours. Perhaps the screensaver is triggering something.
Thank you very much. This makes a lot of sense to me. Around the time this started I had changed themes but have since reverted to the default to see if that was causing the problem. However I didnt disable the screensaver. I'll let it run a day or 2 and report back. Thanks!
