I'm trying to add a third ROKU to another tv. It is a brand new device, but it might be older, not sure. It will not work on tv I'm trying to setup on. someone told me to try on another tv and change settings from auto to another. So I tried on two other tv's that currently use ROKU with no success. WIFI is successful in setup and updates show they have downloaded then the dancing letters "ROKU". then nothing after that, just a purple screen then the whole process starts over again with Wi-Fi setup and three green checks for success and dancing letters again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
If it's truly a Roku 3 then it's not new. They haven't been made in years. If you have another Roku 3 you might try its power adapter. I don't know if a factory reset would accomplish anything, but find the reset button below the power connection and use a paperclip or something to press and hold the button for no less than 30 seconds with the power connected.
Thanks for the advice. The Roku is an older model purchased years ago, but never opened out of the box. I was the first to open it and use it last week. My parents bought it years back. I did try the reset several times with no good result.
