Not enough information. What model Roku device? What channel is being used? When you say recorded content, who's done the recording? How are you trying to play it?
If this is something you're trying to play from a USB drive, we'd need to know the contents of the video file. What is the file extension (.mkv, .mp4, .mov, etc.)? Once we know the file extension (which identifies the container type) we need to know the codecs used within the container. There's a free program you can download called MediaInfo that provides detailed information about the contents of video and/or audio files.
