Re: All apps won't open, return to the home screen

Hi Community users,

Thanks for posting regarding the issue you are experiencing with channels after the latest OS 12.0 update.

If you are being returned to the Home screen from a channel, we would recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart, specifically in that order. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

  • Make sure you are powering your Roku device through a wall outlet as if you are powering the device through a TV USB port, the TV may not be providing sufficient power to run channels on your Roku device.

If you are still experiencing an issue, we would be more than happy to look further into this issue, but will need more details. What Roku model device are you using? What channels are you seeing this issue occur with? What specific troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?
