OK, I Broke it - Can I Crack it Open and Fix it? (Streaming Stick+)

I've been a happy Roku customer for years. Recently I rammed the streaming stick+ into the wall, bending the HDMI port. As a result, the TV does not recognize the stick. The power light does come on, but no signal is sent to the TV port. I have ordered and installed a replacement, but would like to try and repair the broken connection. Has anyone had any experience opening up a stick and re-soldering the connection? I know it may be a lost cause, but I would like to try. I tried ifixit and there is no info there. Thanks in advance.

Taking plastic-cased items with no discernible screws apart is always a crapshoot.

Have never needed to attempt it myself, so can't give any advice. It's of no use the way it is now, so I guess it can't hurt to try.

Yep, know about the crapshoot aspect of it. Wondering if anyone else has been there and has input. Thanks
