My TCL Roku tv doesn’t have the option for volume leveling or volume mode and has software version 10.0.0. Am I missing something or is this just the way it is?
Are you watching something via the TV's tuner or something connected to an HDMI input? Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think volume leveling is only available for streamed content using a Roku channel/app.
My tv is a Roku tv and I’m streaming Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and HBO Max. I changed the volume mode on my brothers TCL Roku tv to the leveling setting but mine isn’t showing that option.
Ok, so it should be there. Are you using a soundbar? That may affect things, but I'm really not sure. The volume modes are a little outside of my area of expertise as I rarely use them. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.
No sound bar either. Just the tv by itself.
What's the Roku model number from Settings->System->About? Not the TV model number, the Roku model number.
Roku tv C156X
Well that is considered to be a current model, so I'm rapidly running out of ideas. I don't know what audio settings there are on a TV under Settings->Audio, but you might want to try playing with those. Otherwise, maybe @RokuDanny-R may have some suggestions.
Thanks for the posts.
Please be aware that not all Roku TVs will have access to volume modes. Did you previously have volume modes prior to the OS 10.0 update?

Thanks,

I’m not sure if this tv has ever had that option but my old tv (also a TCL) has it. Doesn’t make sense that they have that option on some of their TVs but not all.
