Recently upgraded to Roku Express about 1 month ago. Setup went fine, it has been playing with no problems but last night the Roku receiver power went off. Rechecked all the connections eg connection to power strip, Roku USB connection to Roku plug, connection to back of Roku receiver - all good but no power. How can I get a replacement????? Thanks!!!!
Take back/send back to retailer as defective needing replacement, if only 1 month old.
Or buy a new power supply on eBay.
Roku does not offer warranty of any length.
Roku offers a one year warranty in the US. If you're located elsewhere, I don't know what the terms are.
First thing to try is connecting the USB power cable to a different power source. If you have a known working power source, try that. If your TV has a USB port, it's possible it will supply enough power for the Roku. Not all TVs do, but it would at least be a test.
If you have another Mini-USB cable to try, you can swap it out with the existing cable. What we're doing is isolating the problem area.
If neither attempt is successful, then odds are the Express has failed. With electronic devices that's always a possibility. Depending on where you purchased it, they might exchange it for a new device. If not, as mentioned Roku does offer a warranty.
Roku doesn't seem to offer a warranty in the UK.
But there is an implicit retailer warranty under "Sale of Goods app", no specific length, and most reputable retailers will do a swap for defective for a few months at least.
Proof of purchase usually needed.
