I have just got a roku express and it's plugged in to HDMI port 2, I have the PS4 in HDMI port 1.
The issue is that when I have been on port 2 the roku box displays fine, and then when I switch back to port 1 for the PS4 the picture is gone, switching back to the roku box the picture is OK it's only knocking the picture out on the PS4 and only comes back by turning the TV off and on. It's extremely frustrating.
Thanks for the post.
With the information that you've provided, it's hard to tell if the Roku device is causing the issue you are experiencing.
Have you tried replacing the cable of your PS4 as well as switching the HDMI inputs on your devices to see if you are still experiencing the same issue?
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Danny
I've never had this issue with any other device so I'm sure it's the roku box as unplugging it also brings the picture back.
Try manually configuring your display setting: Settings/Display/4K TV or Settings/Display/1080pTV
..and/or turning off 1-Touch-Play: Settings/System/Control other devices/1-touch-Play=off
Otherwise verify your TV (brand/model unknown) has the latest firmware, has "enhanced" HDMI ports enabled, and CEC enabled (or disabled).
I've already set the display to 1080p and turned off 1 touch play, I guess I'll just have to live with it.
What happens if you swap which HDMI ports the two devices are connected to?
Does the problem:
When I switch it over the problem follows the PS4 to HDMI 2, the roku still displays fine so it's not the ports.
