Brand new Streambar worked for 1 day....next day it will not stay on streaming channels Have tried all the resets-unplugs-reboots-wireless reboots-new cables-resets-voodoo curses-etc. Tried customer service chat...worthless!
It goes to channel for just a few seconds then back to home screen.
Has anyone had success with a hardwire setup? Ethernet adapter
After more juggling of devices it appears that the TV may be the issue. I was trying the Streambar on an older LG tv. I have a Roku Express that works fine with that tv but not the Streambar. The Streambar works on my newer Sceptre tv.
The LG tv is about 10 yr. old.....does that make it non compatible?
My StreamBar works great. Has for months. So, I would expect the same for you and others. We need to see what's going on. It could simply be a bad device, though that's to be determined. We need to rule out several other things first.
Confirm the model number of the device. Settings > System > About
That page also has the Roku software version number. Provide that, too.
Specifically, what apps are doing this? If multiple, name three.
Describe exactly what happens. Does the app launch, play for a bit (how long) then go to the home screen?
Do you get any notices on the screen? Popups? "Not connected" or similar in the top right of the screen?
Are there any apps that do not exhibit this behavior? Name two.

That should not make a difference. I'm just wondering now if the HDMI cables might be part of the issue.
Did you use the same HDMI port when you swapped the devices? Same cables?
I actually think it's network/environmental, based on what we know so far. That could go back to the Roku device itself and its network capabilities. Or, unless you are placing the Express in the very same place as the Streambar -- I usually put the Roku box to one side, near the HDMI port, but put a Streambar center -- it could be a spot around the TV that causes interference.
Of course, I'm just speculating, but it may be worth looking into.
