My roku won’t stop scrolling

My roku (not sure on model fairly old) has started this thing where it won’t stop scrolling. I can’t click anything. No stuck buttons, hard reset, restarted, etc. nothing seems to work. Do I need a new one? Thanks.

Let's try to narrow down the cause.

If you take the batteries out of the remote the pull the Roku exposed plug for a few seconds, when the Roku reboots does the scrolling resume?
