Lagging audio

Tv audio video lagging with Phillips ROKU TV. I use WIFI with no connections besides plugging tv into wall. Tried everything. The only thing that worked was unplugging tv. Will this persist or should I return tv? No issues with my other TVs, only this new Phillips ROKUTV.

Re: Lagging audio

Hello @bradmcmorris12

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

Does the audio issue only occur on a specific channel or across other channels installed on your Roku TV? If it's just on specific channel/s, we would recommend removing the affected channel (app) then re-install it. To ensure the process is successful, follow the steps below making sure you restart your Roku device before adding the app again.

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.

    • Note: If you are removing a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you must cancel the subscription before you see the Remove channel option. For help identifying this type of subscription channel, read the detailed article about removing a channel.

  2. Restart your Roku device: Restart the device from the settings menu. Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart.

  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

    • Note: If you are adding a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you will need to resubscribe.

Please keep us posted!

All the best,
Kariza

You may find this a more convenient way of restarting your tv (just turning it off and on doesn't do this):

Menu path from the Roku home screen:  Settings > System > Power > System restart.  (Also part of Kariza's suggestion for reinstalling a channel.)

Re: Lagging audio on Roku stick and Roku TV

I agree,  this is happening for us too, and on multiple devices!  We have a Roku TV, and a Roku stick.   None of the solutions listed  worked.  We tried turning off audio modes, restarting the Roku, unplugging it (for a full minute to be sure) and we even tried switching the HDMI  port the roku stick is plugged in to.  The only thing we got to work is turning off the tv audio and letting audio play through our Bose sound bar plugged into the tv via optical cable.
