Intermittent deactivation of private listening

I use the Roku remote on my Google Pixel 4a 5G and am having the frustrating issue of the private listening deactivating by itself. I've had the issues with bluetooth as well as corded headphones.  Any known causes or fixes?

Have you tried deleting the Roku app from your phone and reinstalling?

Thanks for the recommendation.  I did try deleting and reinstalling the app but the issue continues.  Not sure if it's a bug with the Android 12 update.
