Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Roku Express 3910RW

Device ID C53940116065

Always plugged into wall outlet and using original cord/box. One day insufficient power message. Tried alternate cords/power supplies, tried both TV USB power ports, restarted multiple times. One time powered on without insufficient power message BUT that time got a different error message, "unable to connect to internet". Tried wireless and wired and neither worked, and after a couple minutes the message, "insufficient power message" returned.

Unable to resolve or use Roku. Please advise.

Re: Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Ya I think it just died.   As a last resort do a hard reset and reactivate the device again.

@crammy

Thanks for the post.

Can you please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.

Thanks,

Re: Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Hello @jnjholder

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

We would recommend starting with the suggestions available in this Support link: What to do if the red light is flashing, or you see a "low-power" warning. If still no dice, reply here with the serial number of the affected Roku device. It can be found at the back or underneath the player itself.

We look forward to your response.

All the best,
Kariza

Re: Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Got "insufficient power" message all of a sudden from my Roku Express. Has worked just fine since 2018 until now. Am plugged directly into wall outlet. Serial number is YGOOH9115793. Please help, as we cannot use device at all!

Re: Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Try a different usb power supply like the one from your cellphone.

Did that, also did everything in the "how to" section. Still not working. Thanks.

Re: Insufficient Power Message when using wall outlet

Do a hard reset by pressing and holding the reset button on the device for about 20 seconds.
