I have an Arcam amp that does not support Atmos, thus the sound when in Atmos

This is my 4th roku. I have an Arcam amp that does not support Atmos, thus the sound when in Atmos mode via Roku, breaks up. I have turned it off on Roku keeping atmos vision which my LG HD handles. However, on the Roku settings, do I use Passthrough, since Auto seems to default to the atmos setting when viewing an atmos enabled show say on Netflix thus requiring me to go to setting to and go from the "English Atmos" to "English original"

Re: I have an Arcam amp that does not support Atmos, thus the sound when in Atmos

I've recently acquired an ARCAM amp also.  I use the passthrough setting on a Roku Ultra but still have some random ongoing issues.  Typically works great, ARCAM ends up interpreting it as Dolby Surround and the various sounds come out of the correct speakers.  On occasion, though the sound is missing or is a collection of random feedback or similar sound.  What I have noticed is that eventually/randomly 3-5-10-20 seconds later the ARCAM starts processing the sound and everything goes back to typical.  I do not know why but am guessing that an issue lies more with the Roku than the ARCAM.  Before waiting I use to power restart the Roku to eliminate the issue, hence my guess that the issue lies with the Roku.
