5/31/21 - I'm having the same problem. I go to play a show like usual and it appears to load then goes back to the main screen. I uninstalled the channel, reinstalled it, logged out, logged in and still have the same issue. I can still play shows on Amazon Prime, Food Network channels, etc, so this is NOT a Roku issue. Something is wrong with Hulu. Ugh. Very annoying.
This didn’t work and I did that a few times every day for the past couple of weeks- please fix this on your end as many are having this issue- thanks
I have tried these steps and it's still having issues. This is an issue due to a recent update on Roku's end, not Hulu.

I am having the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled Hulu. I restarted the Roku. My other channels work. Hulu does not. Serial number 1XC399077802. Thanks
I also have the issue of Hulu not loading. It starts off with program disclaimers, then goes back to the Home Screen for the program I am trying to watch. Doesn’t matter if it’s a movie or series. Netflix and Roku programs work fine. I noticed this last week, but am not sure when the issue could have first started. I have a Roku 2, model # 2720X, serial # 1RG49H007526.
I have deleted Hulu, then reinstalled Hulu, restarted Roku, but this has not worked.

Same issue here. I was chatting online with Hulu, for way too long, and went through all their steps and nothing worked. I uninstalled Hulu, restarted the Roku, and then reinstalled Hulu and it still isn't working.
Mary, I followed all the instructions on your email to no avail. The software was current, no updates are available.
.. So...
I performed a full factory reset, yet it displayed the exact same behavior after the reset as before. Burned about an hour.
Don't know what to say. Hulu isn't really helping. Basically they are throwing the blame at Roku saying that the devices are out of date.
