I am having the same issue but with HULU. I try to start my show, it plays the ABC TV jingle, and I see the first second of the episode, then it goes right back to the show's "Episode Page". I've watched this show every night for the past month and this just started happening 3 nights ago. I have no problem with HULU on my tablet, just the Roku.
Hulu, Craftsy, and Prime Video will not open. Just spin and I have to unplug power cord as everything is locked up. Tried to remove the apps and they just spin. Again, I have to unplug to exit. Tried a restart and nothing changed. Other apps are working fine. Noticed yesterday.
I have same problem hulu wont play just keeps returning to episode screen, Hulu rep couldn't solve issue after 45 minutes .
Rep gave me 1 month free of nothing?
Soon to be history when I get another provider.
I have tried all the steps and factory reset the roku and it still doesnt work! The episodes wont play. They have a grey box with an ! In them.

same here. it just started the other day. i've removed hulu, rebooted and reinstalled about 3 times now. hulu opens fine but every episode crashes after a stuttering start of about 3 seconds. and all shows crash, it's not just one. is there a fix for this? does Roku know about the problems?
Hi @Lisa-G,
Thanks for reaching out regarding the issue you are experiencing.
We'd like to gather more information about the issue you're running into. Does this happen on all movies/shows in Hulu or just specific titles?
For troubleshooting, have you try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote, and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
Please let us know and we'll continue assisting you from there!
Many thanks,
Mary
