Solving playback issues

Hulu has worked great on our Roku for years until last night. When we click to play an episode it starts to load and then goes back to the previous screen. This only happens with Hulu. We have deleted the channel, restarted the Roku and added the channel back. We have looked for upgrades, but nothing is available.

i followed the steps given but, the show starts to load and cuts off and returns to home screen

Unfortunately I can confirm this loading/playing bug/issue with Hulu (4.9.3) on the 2710 w/OS10.0.0-4195

(This is an OS10 bug - previously worked with 9.4/etc )

All other apps that I tested (NF, YT, Prime, D+, ESPN, etc) are loading/playing movies without issue.

No troubleshooting steps (Network connection reset, default theme, no screensaver, updates, advertiser ID reset, etc) alleviated it.

I can also confirm identical behavior for 2720x.  Communication with Hulu directly said that they were aware of the issue and working on it.  They also said that some users were able to restore functionality by performing a resync (turn off router and roku for full 5 minutes while communicating with Hulu tech support, then restart) but this didn't work for all users.

At the time, we were trying to watch the final 2021 episode of SNL and after all of the reboot, uninstall, power-down "solutions" didn't work, I tried to watch SNL on the Roku NBC channel: same problems, sort of. The show would play up to the first commercial break and the commercials would cause the NBC Roku app to crash us out to the main Roku screen.

I can confirm that all of the usual "fixes" do not work on our Roku unit, either. Now that we are no longer confined to our home, I'm looking for budget cutting tactics and Hulu is likely to be the first to go for lowering our home entertainment budget.

This is happening to me as well. Rebooting, reinstalling, etc. Nothing works. Hulu account works fine on the website but not on Roku.

I am having the same issue and it is so frustrating. Does anyone have any idea on when this will be fixed?
