HDMI sound not working

I have my Roku TV connected to my computer through HDMI 1 but the audio only plays off of my computer not the TV

Are you using an HDMI output on the computer, or the VGA port with an adapter? If the latter, there's no audio from the VGA port.

If you are using an HDMI output on the computer, make sure the computer audio is using the HDMI port as its audio device. You might need to change it manually.
