Solving playback issues

Forced (SRT) Subtitles are not showing thru any my Roku devices (Streaming Stick+, Streaming Stick 4K, Ultra) this has been going on for quite some time across all my Roku devices and thru several Roku OS updates. I have tested with several different video sources as well as streaming devices (Apple TV, Firestick, Nvidia Shield, etc.) and the subtitles show on those devices with no issue. As a work around I have been able to get them to show on my Roku's by changing the setting for closed captioning in the main Roku settings from its default setting of “On Playback” to “Always On”, but this is now forcing captions on several of my apps which is annoying.

As Stated all of my Roku's experience the same issue, but below if the info for one of them

Unless yours is different than mine, it doesn't say "On Playback" it says "On replay" which means when you press the Replay button on the remote (the counterclockwise running circular arrow) it will turn on the subtitles briefly.  So are you saying that you don't get the subtitles when you press Replay but you do get them if you set it to "On always"?

Yeah, it's "On replay, My Bad.

The default is "On replay" and with that setting I do not get the Forced (SRT) subtitles on my videos. If I select "Always On" The subtitles show as selected but then I also get closed captions on other Roku Apps. I'd like for my sub titles to play as selected without having unwanted close captioning on other apps.

I didn't realize what "On replay" means and could never see a scenario where I would want closed captioning briefly.
