Food52

Why does this channel constantly go to sleep, when going to break recently?

Re: Food52

Hi @lpatten,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We'd like to gather more information about the issue you're running into. Does the issue only occur on a Food52 or all channels on your Roku device? What was the error message when attempted to stream the channel?

For troubleshooting, please try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote, and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

For full information on this, you can take a look at this link: How do I resolve channel playback issues? | Official Roku Support

Keep us posted with what you find out.

Thanks,
Mary

Re: Food52

The issue I’m having doesn’t seem to be part of the playback issues list.

Like I’ve been doing, I simply tune to Food52. Between segments, it now usually goes black, May show multiple repeats of the “be right back” screen, show a Xumo screen, then go back to black. I have to get out of Roku entirely, then get back in, in order to watch the next segment. Sometimes, I may get a string of segments that don’t conk out. But, that’s becoming rare.

Re: Food52

Hi @lpatten,

Thanks for keeping in touch and providing the additional information.

If the issue is only with the channel alone, this is a good indication that there likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher. Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to that channel publisher directly to share your feedback.

We appreciate your patience with this matter!

Regards,
Mary
