Every 2 years the Roku stick or express I have starts to degrade and die. Now current one fails streaming by freezing or circle spinning. Sometimes API failure. My router wireless speed tests still at 400Mb. Tried restarting and factory resetting but still freezes.
Roku sees strong WiFi during failures.
Normal Xfinity cable streaming still works fine.
Did you get an answer?
Only solution was buy a new Roku unit. After a few years they start overheating or just freezing the stream.
We understand that you're having issues with your Roku device constantly freezing and spinning. We're happy to assist.
May we know when you started having this issue? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? What specific streaming channels (if there are any) are affected by the freezing issue? Have you already tried the following?
Keep us informed.

Janadee
I did all the recommended resets, power offs, etc. but once this starts you are on notice to buy another box.
Been through 2 already after 2 years on both.
MTBF is 24 months. 😁
Thanks for the response, @Artw70.
We just want to clarify if the freezing occurs when watching channels, shows, or content on the Roku device. If it is, have you tried the recommended fixes above, such as rebooting your network and connecting to a mobile hotspot, to check if the same issue occurs? Have you tried hooking this Roku device to a different TV? or changing HDMI cables? Is there any difference in the experience?
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Janadee
