Express 3900x no signal

my Roku is getting power but when it's hooked up my tv, my tv reads no signal. I have tried the other HDMI input slot and same thing. I have hooked other devices up in the same slots and they work just fine. HELP

Re: Express 3900x no signal

When you say it's getting power, are you using your TV's USB port or the supplied power adapter?

I've used both, it's currently plugged into the power adapter

Re: Express 3900x no signal

Navigate to your TV settings (TV Menu Settings) and look for something that allows you to Enable your HDMI CEC.

Also, do you see a little blue light or something on your Express when it is plugged in?

Post back your TV model if having trouble with the CEC.

Re: Express 3900x no signal

I looked in my settings and could not find anything about enabling HDMI CEC.

Yes i see a blue light, it is blinks twice, pauses for a few seconds then blinks twice again.

it is a Samsung Model#LN32D403E4D, it is an older TV but the one I had it hooked to before we got rid of it was older

Re: Express 3900x no signal

As I understand it, you took this Express from another working TV and then plugged it into this TV (LN32d405e5d) so it never worked on this TV before.

From the manual, I think the only setting that may help you is to Reset the Picture Settings assigned to HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 (pages 14-15)  This is the only stored setting area for external devices.  Could be the previously stored settings are causing a conflict with the Express preferred settings.

When the Express is fully connected, that led light should be steady.  The flashing indicates not currently connected to a network.

Samsung uses Anynet+ for HDMI Cec, but your model does not have it so not an issue.

Not sure if you have another TV you can plug the Express into in order to narrow down if it is a TV or device issue.
