Solving playback issues

Am having problems with closed captions on a show on the roku channel. The settings on the roku ultra are shown as “always on”. On earlier episodes on PBS the Closed captions work. Thoughts?

Not all content has closed captions. There are plenty of exceptions to the requirements for CC, and it's possible that show is one of those. You didn't say what it was, so I'm shooting in the dark, and what I'm suggesting may not be applicable.

Thanks for the reply. The series is called McClouds Daughters. It was originated in Australia and season 1 is currently on PBS and there are closed captions. We were wanting to watch the subsequent seasons which are on the Roku channel.

Does the display size on the Roku home menu and all the channels look zoomed in?  That's my problem, suddenly, and why my captions and subtitles don't show at all or just partially because they don't fit any longer.

Wow, interesting. I will check and see if my Home Screen looks out of whack. I am assuming that based on your comment that there is no “fix” to this issue. Yes?
