Closed Captioning settings change within an app or between apps

Have a Roku Express (3930, 3931 series) since mid-2020.  I normally turn the closed captioning to ON REPLAY.  Started noticing over the last 2-4 weeks that when I change to a different app, the closed captioning setting may change to ON ALWAYS.  It may have changed to OFF; hard to reproduce condition. I haven't added any new apps recently.  All settings appear to be up-to-date.
