Every app I start has an error and no app will play. It begins and about 10 seconds into each show it crashes. Even the Roku channel shows all videos as expired. ALL videos. I have followed every article in support. I reset to factory. I cannot seem to get a live person on the phone. This has been happening for three days now. My Roku Express is only 6 months old and should not be having these problems.
Thanks for the posts.
I have responded to the PM that you have sent me.
Thanks,
Danny
No, it should not be having such a problem. How are you powering the Express, with a USB port on the TV or with the wall adapter?
I understand you are saying "all" channels, but please give some examples of the channel and video you're trying to play.
It's certainly possible that the Express has suffered a failure of some sort. You can send a private message to @RokuDanny-R with your account email address and player serial number (don't post that here in the forum) and he can assist if a warranty replacement is necessary.
I'm plugged into my wall for power.
Every video I try to play on the Roku channel begins then says it has expired.
Every video I try to play on Hulu begins then gives a playback error.
Every video I try to play on Paramount begins then gives a playback error.
Every video I try to play on Peacock begins then gives a playback error.
It doesn't matter what application I try to play and it doesn't matter which video I try to play, they all begin but then they crash. This has been happening for 3 days now. I followed every article I can find on support, then I reset to factory. I do not have this problem with the Firebox I have in the other room. I do not have this problem with the PS3 player. It is only the Roku.
Thanks for that follow up. It will assist @RokuDanny-R quite a bit. From the sounds of it, I do think there's been a hardware failure in your player. But it's well within the warranty period. I have Roku players that are approaching 5 years old that still work fine, so it's not something that I would expect. I even have one that's ten years old that still works, but it's so underpowered it's useless for almost any use. But it does still work. 🙂
Ok, so what can I do about that?
What I provided in my first post. Send a PM to Danny with the information I mentioned, along with the info you've provided here.
Ok, I did that. Thank you.
Thanks for the posts.
I have responded to the PM that you have sent me.
