I have a Roku TV in my RV based in Canada and it works fine. We are in Arizona for the winter and i can watch OTA tv but none of the Roku channels. I am hot spotting internet from my phone and am able to access other streaming services. When I click on a specific Roku channel it shows the details at the bottom of the screen and then the screen turns black. Any help is appreciated.
Relocating a Roku device from one region/country to another causes problems. The region of the Roku account determines what's available, so you really need a U.S. Roku account when your device is in the U.S. The solution, as it were, is to create a new Roku account, factory reset your TV, and link it to the new account. When you get back to Canada you'll have to factory reset the TV again to link it back to the Canada account.
Might as well give it up. Roku support is not going to fix issues as some brilliant programmer has made a complete mess of things. For 5-years I was able to go through my local channel guide then further down it started into all the Roku channels. Now, nothing!!
have to go to home and switch to Roku icon. The pits!!!
