Can I play a Movie from MacBook Pro

I have a Roku Express 4K. I bought a movie on my laptop and tried to use casting or Airplay from my laptop to my Roku device to show the movie on my TV. A note is seen that movie is playing on Roku, but there is no picture or sound of the movie. I have checked all of the connections to make sure I'm connected to the internet and I am. I'm hoping there is a means to play a movie I bought on my MacBook Pro laptop that can be played on my Roku Express 4+ device on my TV. Everything is connected to the internet and I will check to if anything and everything is or will be updated. How can I stream from my laptop to the TV.

Hello @Carina07

Thanks for reaching out to the Roku community!

Can you please provide us with more specific information about the issue you are experiencing? Are your phone and Roku device using the same network? Do you get any error messages? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?

Make sure your tv is running the latest Roku OS. You have to take some such steps to check the update of any software. Go to ‘Settings’> ‘System’> ‘System Update’> and check for any updates.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know in case you've still got any questions

Karla
