CEC automatic HDMI input switching just stopped working.

I have two 3810x connected to two different Sony televisions.   Up until a week ago I could just click the home button and my tv's would automatically switch to the HDMI input the Roku was connected to.  1-touch play is enabled on both Roku sticks.  I even tried to swap my Roku sticks to other televisions and it still will not automatically switch to the correct input.  I don't know if there was a Roku update in the past week or so that caused this, but it worked correctly a week ago and there have no updated to either of my tv's.

Firmware on both Roku is 10.0.0 build 4209-50

There hasnt been a firmware update in months, so that isnt an issue.

You might consider whether the Sony TVs auto-updated their firmware without your knowledge (verify CEC settings in your TV), or another device in the HDMI chain is preventing it.

I would disconnect every other device from the TV's HDMI inputs (including AVRs using ARC) temporarily, unplug the TVs and Rokus from AC power for 3-5 minutes at least, then power on the TV, then connect the Roku to a different HDMI port than you normally use, power on the Roku, and see if it changes inputs with a touch.

Thanks.  The Televisions are set to auto update, but their firmware is dated May and June.  The crazy thing is that they both started doing it within the past week.  I looked at all the tv settings and nothing has changed.  I even swapped the sticks between televisions and different HDMI inputs, and they still will not switch to the correct input source automatically.  One of the tv's doesn't have any other input source except a HD antenna.   Just odd that it happened to both Roku sticks at the same time, and trying to figure it out.

1) First rule of CEC issues is to power everything off (unplugged from AC) for several minutes (3-5 minutes at least) - try again

2) Disable 1-Touch play, restart Rokus, enable 1-Touch play - try again

3) Try different buttons (other than Home) on your Roku remote.

Re: CEC automatic HDMI input switching just stopped working.

Well, I'm not exactly sure what happened but a factory reset of both televisions restored the automatic input switching to normal function.

Thanks for posting back the solution that restored CEC functionality so that others may see it.
