I can not seem to play "free" videos on the CBS app. Video begins to load and then boots my to home screen. I have tried several videos from different programs on the app. I have also deleted, rebooted and reloaded the app with the same results. I'm using an Express+ 3720. Any ideas?
There is no model 3720. So, what device do you actually have.

Ok, sorry for the typo meant 3710, to be more precise 3710x running 9.4.0 build 4210
I've downloaded the CBS app just now and was able to play (or begin playing the first bit; I didn't really care to watch it, but it started playing actual content after the commercial) an episode.
Now, I don't have the same device as you. Your's is the Express+ from 2016, but should still be supported by most apps. The problem I'm having confirming that is likely because of the recent change from CBS All Access being rebranded as Paramount+. Most search queries for supported devices for the CBS app refer to the CBS All Access app (now Paramount+) instead of the CBS app. However, I can't think of any good reason why CBS would not support the 3710 model.
Try this. All the steps, in this order:
That, if all three steps are done in that order, will often clear out any stray or corrupt data that might be interfering with proper playback.

Thanks for the info. As I said in my original post, I have already done the delete, reboot, reload steps to no avail.
Just wanted to confirm the order of the steps, since it's importing.
This may be something to escalate. Perhaps @RokuDanny-R, @RokuMary-F, or @RokuKariza-D can help.

Thanks for the suggestions. If CBS doesn't support the express 3710 I wish they would follow Peacock's example and just not offer the app download to any unsupported devices. It's disappointing but far less frustrating.
