Solving playback issues

Today I have no audio off rom roku.  My speakers are working on TV.  Any suggestions

Having an issue with my ROKU Ultra with the audio. Each time it's powered on I get cracking sounds for audio even after selecting an app to watch. I have to press the reset button each time to get normal sound.

Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? What are the steps to reproduce the issue? Is this issue only happening on a specific channel or does it happen across all channels? Have you tried connecting your Roku device to another HDMI port as well as switching out the cable to see if that resolves the issue?

We experience this issue when first turning on the TV and ROKU device. After we push the reset button it corrects the issue until the TV is turned off again. We have tried different HDMI ports which doesn't correct the issue. Have also changed the HDMI cable.

I'm not getting crackling but my ROKU Ultra is also requiring resets in order to play audio on any streaming channel. From my research so far I've learned two things: the makers of ROKU know about this problem and have no long term solution for it. Mine requires a reset every two hours of use. It's less than a year old. I'm now trying to figure out what I can use instead.

Can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
-video of the issue occuring

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.

HELP! i am not tech savvy. I got a new receiver that has only rca hookups, no hdmi. The sound works fine thru the tv, but no sound using roku coming out of the speakers, only the TV. My older tv has only one rca .I have it going from tv to receiver.  I have rca cables plugged into the cable box and dvd player. All work fine except roku.  Ive tried all the plugging and unplugging suggestions. Im not sure if ive hooked it up wrong, or if i need something else to make sound work thru receiver. Will a factory reset help? Its the only thing i havent tried from all the suggestions ive seen.

I don't know what Roku device you have but check in the Roku settings and see if you can change the audio to stereo only.
