Hi, I have a Roku Streaming Stick. Recently, whenever I press "play" after having a show paused, it goes back to the home screen and I have to find the app and show all over again. While I understand this should happen after, say, half an hour or an hour, it's been happening after two minutes or less! It's across multiple apps — YouTube TV, Discovery+, Philo, etc. — and is extremely frustrating. I can't even keep a show paused long enough to grab a drink!
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks!
DON'T PRESS PLAY TO DISMISS THE SCREENSAVER! Press any other button and then press Play to start the video.
Thanks for the post.
Can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
Thanks,
Danny
Thanks!
-Roku device model: 3800X - Roku Streaming Stick
-serial number - YF00HC075810
-device ID - CT378H075810
-software OS/version: 9.4.0 build 4210-55
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? No, it happens on the majority of channels I use (YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, Philo, Discovery+, etc.). However, it does seem to be a bit worse on YouTube TV (version 93000067)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs: ID 10-146-831
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing: I pause a show for, perhaps, two minutes or so. When I press play again, it returns to the home screen momentarily, then opens another random app/channel. Then, I have to navigate back to the channel I was watching, find the show again, etc.

That worked; how counterintuitive. Thanks so much for your help!
