Bought my Premier 3 months ago, and after two recent updates, TV screen scrambles (in color) after first showing Roku logo fine. First time, it took a lot of sleuthing and time- we were able to go to a 9. version, but when it auto-updated again, same scrambled image. Works fine on computer screen so I know it's not the Roku. TV is Philips HD flatscreen. BEYOND FRUSTRATING, I don't want to have to buy a new TV, and I'm won't be recommending ROKU unless I can fix this. Help! Help!
Is the Display Type set to "Auto detect"? If so, try forcing one of the other options. Of course, I don't know if you'll be able to do that with the screen all messed up. If you can't see what's going on you can try changing it in the blind:
Press Home a few times then Up, Select, Down 3 times, Select, Up, Select
@renojim Thanks, we just tried that --but no luck. (Yes, we couldn't see it while we tried it). Our actions did however change it to a static scrambled screen, not one that was static-y and vibrating static.
The only other thing I could suggest is to unplug the power from both the Roku and the TV for 30 seconds or so. I've seen weird things happen with TVs that required them to be reset.
