Recently attempted to reset my Roku because the remote was not working. After reset, I got a pop-up that states "Missing Advanced Wireless Receiver." Everything is set up and plugged in correctly as my Roku was working perfectly up until recently. Any tips on how to get it to recognize the AWR is connected?
I hope you can get this working. Since the SS+ can only connect to your net via wifi a working AWR is essential.
Have you tried giving your Roku a restart? Settings > System > System restart .
I wonder if your Roku could be misinterpreting a loss of internet connection as an AWS problem (my own SS+ has never done that on a loss of connection, but I'm grasping at straws here). This has always worked for me to re-establish my net connection when it has been lost or not performing well:
If that doesn't fix it, try disconnecting the power to your Roku for a few seconds. When it comes back up, see if you then can set up the network connection.
Hello, I have the same issue - 1 out of 5 devices I bought has this error straight out of the box. I have tried the reset button, swapping to different stream stick, etc. The issue follows the integrated awr cord to different tvs and stream sticks.
@Jnorth, there isn't a fix other than getting a new cable. People have been known to purchase a new stick, swap out the cable, and return it, so perhaps you got one of those.
