I'm having the same problem. On my Samsung s24 Ultra, my devices will say failed to connect and you cannot add or delete lights or anything. After reinstall everything works for a day or so. The cycle has been repeating since the start of the year 2025 for me.
I have the same phone S24 Ultra. Same problem. Meanwhile I discovered my OLD S10+ works the lights fine. Very weird. Been using an old ipad and that also works fine.

I found that just going into app settings, delete data and then force restart the app works for 24 to 48 hours. Then log back in Simpler than uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Hope they fix it soon.
Pixel 7 Android 15 Roku V3.2.3(448)
S24 ulta, and S21+ Samsung phones
No idea the roku version.
It works with my old phone S10+.
What did you change to make it stop working? Worked fine previously
I have the same issue. One Plus Open, Android 15. Also a Samsung S23, Android 15. App works for about 24 hours, then the toggle on/off no longer controls. Signing out and in fixes the issue for 24-36 hours App version 3.2.3.448.
30MAR2025: I have the same problem with this Roku Smart Home App.
I am experiencing the same issue with the Roku Smart Home App. For weeks now, the app has not been able to control the plugs' on/off functionality. I have it installed on my latest Pixel 9, and I've noticed that others are reporting similar problems on the Android app page.
I have had to uninstall the app, restart my phone, and reinstall it multiple times a day just to make it work. I've also deleted and re-added rules and schedules, but there has been no improvement in the app's performance.
Even today, the Smart Home App is still unable to control any bulbs, and I'm unable to change the brightness level without it. It's frustrating that with all this technology, I end up relying on flashlights and lamps in my house.
I’m wondering where Roku's DevOps team is in all of this. It can't be that difficult to resolve the communication issues between the app and the devices, or whatever else is causing these problems.
Roku Support, please escalate this issue with your DevOps team if not already. Alternatively, it would be helpful to provide a web application to manage bulbs, rules, and schedules if the app continues to malfunction.
Thank you.
UPDATE: I attempted @SergeB recommended Google Home method. Overall it WORKS. It's a bit humbug to set up, BUT I will use Google Home rather than deal with Roku's Smart Home app tantrums in the meantime.
Thanks.
Glad it works for you too. By the way, if you want to control the brightness of your bulbs with Google home, press and hold the light for a second or two, it will open a new screen where you can control the brightness.
So tap for on and off, tap and hold for brightness or shade.
