This issue just started this afternoon.
I have several Roku cameras and most of them are configured to not send notifications since they are inside cameras. About noon today, all of my cameras started sending notifications to the Smart Home app. I checked each camera and confirmed that notifications were turned off - and they were. I could even go into the app and pause notifications, but they still keep coming through.
I have removed and reinstalled the app and the problem persists. I also have the app installed on my wife's phone and she is having the exact same issue starting at the same time. Both phones are Android devices.
Same thing has happened to me. I finally got it to quit sending notifications, but now when I turn notifications on I don't get them. Also I don't get any sound notifications. I got the cameras so I could keep an eye on my mom, who has dementia, when I have to run errands. Sounds like this may be a common problem. Also just found out today that if my brother turns the notifications off on his phone they also get turned off on my phone.
Yes, that is what it does. You would think that the app would control the phone notifications. My brother just has the app so he can look in on her, he's in Germany and doesn't want notifications in the middle of the night. Also, none of the 3 cameras send sound notifications, not even when I knock on the wall right next to the camera. Thin mobile home wall so it's loud. I'm looking for a different option since I've had trouble with these from day 1.

I don't have a solution for this, but the problem solved itself. The issue happened for about 12 hours and the next day everything went back to normal.
Same thing happened to me and my daughter. Then all of a sudden they stopped. I thought it was because of our iPhones themselves.
