Hi @bcliff,
Greetings from the Roku Community, and thanks for keeping us posted!
We will be more than happy to assist you further. Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that @RokuArjiemar provided? If not, please try.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards, John
I have tried all the suggestions from the previous posts, and still have no luck using the Micro SD cards. Further searching for Micro SD cards has a lot of posts where this does not work. Unfortunately that is pretty deceiving if you cannot record or get notifications unless you have a subscription.
Can you confirm if notifications even work without a subscription and just an SD card, and what we can actually do with only the SD card.
Thanks for keeping us posted, @bcliff
May we know if you're unable to see the recordings from your Roku Smart Home device that is supposed to be saved to your SD card? Additionally, kindly be advised that Roku Smart Devices can send notifications and record events to your SD card without any subscription.
For more information, kindly refer to Roku Smart Home Subscription.
If you have further concerns or inquiries, keep us posted.
Best wishes,
Kash
Thank you for the update, and confirmation I get get event notifications.
I guess, I do not see anything in my events screen in the app. It says No recordings yet.
When I turn on live video it seems to be saving to my photo's vs the SD card. I allowed access to my photo's as part of my troubleshooting to get the notifications to work.
If I go thru my camera settings I have detection set to 100, Event recording when motion or sound is detected. Notifications on for Sound and motion, and in Advanced settings I have events only, and I can see 58.25G available space under manage microSD.
Just not sure what else to do.
