Use second base station to connect cameras with poor connection

Jump to solution

The second base station could have a cable connection to the router. Wifi extenders don't seem strong enough.

Hi @archmankin,

Thanks for sharing.

We understand that you wanted to connect a second Base Station for your Outdoor Camera to have a stable internet connection.

Please note that you can hook up four Roku Outdoor Cameras to one Base Station, but each Roku Outdoor Camera can only connect to one Base Station at a time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your reply, I understand.

I currently have 4 cameras on one base station. My base station is closer to 2 cameras and the other further away 2 cameras struggle with connections even with wifi extenders. My question is - can I purchase another SE camera/base station combo, and then link the 2 problematic cameras to a another much closer base station which I can link to my router with a cable? Interestingly, my doorbell works fine, but the nearby outdoor camera won't connect.

@archmankin,

Thanks for your response!

Yes, if you purchase another Roku Outdoor Camera SE with the base station, you can connect the two Roku Outdoor Cameras that are experiencing network connectivity issues.
