Roku color light wont connect to dorm wifi

Im trying to connect my roku color light to my dorm wifi (resnet) the wifi appears as an option I imput my password but the light continues failing to connect, I've tried myresnet and resnet legacy which is supposed to be the 2.4gh wifi but nether will work and im at a loss for what to do.
